About this talk

Within the Indigenous communities of Cape York there is a lack of safe, comfortable and durable housing available. Within this project, a shelter was designed to be durable enough to withstand the Cape York climate while also utilizing environmental features of the region to maximize comfort without access to the power grid. Other important considerations included the community engagement in the project, and the impact that the shelter would have on the local environment.
