About this talk

Join us for this opening session of the EWB Challenge Series Showcase

Come and join us as we sit down with Brian Singleton, a Yirrganydji bama from the Cairns region to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. Brian will explore Yirrganydji Aboriginal culture, what it's like caring for their land and sea Country as a Senior Ranger, and important considerations for anyone to keep in mind when working with Aboriginal people.

Brian also worked on the renowned Bushlight program with the Centre for Appropriate Technology, so he has lots to share if you'd like to ask him any questions.

Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation will be the 2022 EWB Challenge community partner so this is also a unique opportunity for lecturers and tutors to engage with Brian and ask questions in advance of the program.

EWB Australia acknowledges the many traditional custodians of the lands on which we all join the Showcase from, and pays our respects to their past and present elders and young emerging leaders, and recognises their continuing connection to land, place and culture.

Join this Zoom session at the start time here.
